Hello! I am the office manager of Sublime Smiles and also Dr. Avila’s wife. I have been working in the dental field for 18 years now, mostly as a dental hygienist. Normally, you will see me in the office on Wednesdays and Thursdays because I still work part-time in Friendship Heights as a dental hygienist. As much as I enjoy my job as a hygienist, I can’t stay away from Sublime Smiles for two reasons: 1). I love the interaction with patients and parents. 2). I work with the best orthodontic team in the Washington D.C. area! They are the most outgoing, caring and fun individuals; I consider them my family.
I grew up in Thomaston, Maine until I went to Forsyth School for Dental Hygienists in Boston, which is where I met Dr. Avila. We have been living in the Washington D.C. area for the last 10 years; a compromise between Dr. Avila and me due to climate – I like the cold, he likes the heat. We have two beautiful children, a boy and a girl, who keeps us very busy outside of the office. I enjoy baking, listening to music, spending time with friends and family and reading about elephants.
