Coronavirus Update

Dear Sublime Smiles Family,

We hope that this message finds you healthy, both physically and mentally. For those of you who are directly impacted by the COVID-19 virus, our hearts go out to you and your family!

As healthcare professionals, we take our role in aiding prevention very seriously. We have been following the guidelines of the American Dental Association, Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, and Maryland State Board of Dental Examiners. per their recommendations, we have voluntarily closed the office and will reopen when it is recommended to start seeing patients again.

Luckily, majority of patients in orthodontic treatment do not experience life disabling medical emergencies! In the case you find that you or your child are experiencing any pain associated with your orthodontic appliances, we have an office emergency phone number and will be checking the office email regularly for patients with emergencies and other questions and will do our best to provide proper guidance in a timely manner. We anticipate that our reduction in staffing may have an impact on our typical response time.

We understand that the office closing may create an inconvenience for our patients and their families and also how disappointing this will be for those who were scheduled to have their braces removed. However, we feel strongly that this is the best decision we can make at this time.

We hope all of you are taking advantage of spending time with your family, enjoying hobbies that you seldom get to do and nourishing your mental well-being. I look forward to finding and enjoying the rainbow with all of you at the end of this pandemic storm!

Sincerely,
Dr Eduardo Avila and the Sublime Smiles Team
